Yikers, what have they done to Xanga in my absence?  I can hardly get to my blog anymore.  I see that some of my friends are still blogging from time to time, cool.  I will stop by and say "hi."  Yeah, I don't know what I do with my time that makes me too busy to do this much anymore.

I'd like to ask a favor for Michelle, if you are an 80s kid (currently age twenty-something) or the mom of children born during the 80s, would you take a minute or two and go to Michelle's xanga--Sirithyuldaiel (the last name on my "friends" list on the left) and help her greatly by taking her quiz.  She needs six "interviews" from people in one of those two categories as she designs a 1980s type children's toy.

The Big News?  There's gonna be a wedding!  Michelle and Jared Avelis will become man and wife this August!  We're all thrilled!!!!

The Not So Big news......Ryanne is pregnant......anyone need an Easter kitten?

Hello.  I am still alive.  I kind of miss Xanga.  So here I am.  I am now technically unemployed but am starting teaching piano again, much more fulfilling than cleaning (clothed or not) toilets!!  I love kids, especially the teen age variety.  So much fun.  Drama too, but fun.  Also, speaking of kids I am now schooling the Wright kids (not in the slang sense) 3 days a week while Jenny goes to nursing school.

And there should be a Big Announcement some time in the next 3 weeks or so.    I am definitely not ready for this Big Announcement but nobody cares if I am or not.  Er, no I am not pregnant.  haha.

And Ron is definitely not deployed for the July-Dec. tour, YEA!  But he is on the alternate list for it, and on the list to deploy on the Jan. 09-Jun 09 tour.  And it will probably be to Iraq.  Unless there is Divine Intervention, which I am praying for.  Well, not another injury.  Just something small that would keep him home.

I am so thrilled about the spiritual renewal my daughters are experiencing lately.  It has renewed my own walk with the Lord, which has been on burnout mode for a very long time.  Thank you Becca for being open to hear His voice, thank You God for your great work.

Boom!: Voices of the Sixties Personal Reflections on the '60s and Today

Hello!  is anybody still xanga-ing these days or have we all moved on to facebook?

I passed on a chance to fly to Dallas next week.  Don't know if it was a good decision or not.

God is healing me of burn-out but sometimes I feel He has slowed me down beyond anything I could ever have imagined.  Tonight was so blissful and stress-free, having only the resonsibility for the choir.  And listening to the kids sing.....well, they literally sounded angelic and I could not have imagined anything better.

I need a job  but don't want one.  Or, that is to say, I want something I can do for lots of money that I can arrange my own hours and not have to take any poo poo from the public.  Yes, I know, incredibly unrealistic.  Why didn't I switch majors to computer like Ron told me to?

I love Tom Brokaw's book, Boom! Except for the fact that he is a liberal journalist.  And it's 600 pages.

And....and......and......CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Jesus' birthday!!!

And.....and.....and..... Wednesday......SOMEONE turns 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wonder who!

It's been awhile!  I am still alive.  My foot is healing from only working on it two nights a week instead of five.  Ron will probably not deploy anytime soon which is good emotionally and bad financially.  And I am healing from three years of sleep deprivation.  This morning I did NOT wake up feeling horrible for the first time in years.

So why am I still awake at 1:42 a.m.?  Stupid!!!!  Stupid!!!!  I am just BEGGING for more sleep deprivation.

I am reading in the book of Romans.  everyone should read it at least once a year to get our foundations in order while we are building on top of them.  It's so much about grace, and how we cannot be saved without the grace of God from start to finish.

I am also in mourning-----no more new episodes of The Office until the writer's strike is over.  Steve Carrell who is both a writer and actor (Michael Scott) walked off the set in solidarity with the writers.  Good for him---bad for all die-hard Office fans.

Heaven, I’m in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we’re out together on high speed internet!

Heaven, I’m in heaven
And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler’s lucky streak
When we’re out together on high speed internet!

Oh I love to climb a mountain
And reach the highest peak
But it doesn’t thrill (boot) me half as much
As high speed internet!

Oh I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I don’t enjoy it half as much
As high speed internet!

(come on and) dance with me
I want my arm(s) about you
That (those) charm(s) about you
Will carry me through...

(right up) to heaven, I’m in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we’re out together on high speed internet!
